Zulu Beaded Donut Earrings
by Woza
These festive donut hoop earrings are handmade in South Africa by highly skilled rural Zulu beaders commissioned by the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust which is a holistic HIV/AIDS project which was established with the primary objective to reduce poverty through craft.
Beadwork is rich in tradition and cultural meaning across various South African tribes. It is typically practiced by women and is passed down through generations by the older women in the family.
These hooped donut earrings are approx. 3" long.
