A Festive Treat for the Children from Smart Kingdom Kids Academy
One of the highlights of the Ithemba Creations year is to host the annual Christmas party for the children at Smart Kingdom Kids Academy who visit the center after school for scholastic and psycho social support. It is our privilege to take the Smart Kingdom Kids Academy children to see The Christmas Chronicles, a festive musical production where they are entertained by a talented cast of performers, where they join in the Christmas carol singing, decorate Christmas cookies and even get to pet some of the show’s animals. This vibrant excursion is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the children in Smart Kingdom Kids Academy founder Heather Adonis’s care and certainly to remind them of the childhood joys they deserve. Each and every child, from age 4 to 16 also receives a goodie bag of treats and a Christmas gift to take home and enjoy.
Smart Kingdom Kids Academy founder Heather is one of Ithemba Creations’ very own talented and tireless creators– her endeavors through our Hands for Hope initiative enables her to pour herself into educating and supporting some of the most vulnerable children in her Seawinds community. Smart Kingdom Kids offers a safe haven for children living on the streets and in some of Cape Town’s most impoverished communities, protecting them from gang violence, offering them a daily meal, providing them with after school care and social worker facilitation and early learning development. Heather’s sewing abilities and talents helps us to help her continue her Smart Kingdom Kids work – 100% of each and every sale made via Ithemba Creations goes to furthering her fantastic work.
