The first thing that struck me was his big wide friendly SMILE.  

Simba is originally from a township in Zimbabwe and his brothers taught him how to do wireworks when he was younger, so he has learnt everything from them.  He has been doing wire and beadwork for the past 13 years.

Simba is 31 years old and currently stays in Ottery, Cape Town, with his wife & son who is 7.  

Things have been tough financially these past few months for Simba, especially during Lockdown, but one picks up on his humbleness and you can sense he is extremely grateful to be given the opportunity to make these carefully handcrafted colourful items.
