Township Ceramic Spoon Rest

These vibrantly colorful ceramic spoon rests are hand-painted and hand crafted by  Kapula in Bredasdorp, South Africa.  Each spoon rest is painted in lively colors and individually decorated with motifs of Township scenes. 

This series depicts life in the local townships of South Africa.  Who could better tell that life in the Township can also be colorful and loveable, than its inhabitants? And so, the artists from the townships decorate each mug with scenes from their own lives. 

Each spoon rest is unique, and designs may vary.

These spoon rests are both microwave and dishwasher safe.
