These paper mache bowls were inspired by the beautiful flora & fauna of Southern Africa. Whether its the Pincushion Sunset, Protea Forest, Ranuncula Chartreuse or the Blushing Bride Olive, each design is equally as beautiful.
These bowls are made in Cape Town, South Africa by Wola Nani. "Wola Nani," which translates to "We embrace and develop one another." Established in 1994 as a non-profit, Wola Nani aims to improve the quality of life of persons afflicted with HIV and AIDS.
Crafters work from their homes in the townships of South Africa. 70% of the selling price of the product goes directly to the crafters, providing them with economic empowerment and reinstalling a sense of worth and hope.
These bowls are ideal for serving snacks, as a catch it all storage container or simply for display. Although it is not dishwasher safe, it can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
